Johan received his PhD in 1996 for work on Logic Programming. More recently he has been interested in Natural Language Processing, in particular models and systems for spoken dialogue interaction between humans and machines. He has worked some 12 years in industry before returning to academia in 2010. He is currently Associate Professor at KTH in Stockholm, Sweden, and is spending the fall semester at Williams as a STINT fellow.
Johan is currently working on methods for robust spoken natural-language interaction between humans and machines in spatial and geographical contexts.
